Casco Bay is truly magical, with breathtaking views of famous lighthouses, local islands, sea life, and the Portland, Maine skyline at sunset. We’re happy to be your photographers and position the boat so you can capture the best pictures!

BYOB Fun!

While we don’t sell alcohol on board, you’re welcome to bring a small cooler with your favorite beverages and any snacks you’d like to bring on board. We encourage our guests to hook up to our speakers and play their music, dance, and have fun!

This cruise has the option to add on a lobster roll from Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier, available when booking.

1. What Should I Bring On a Sunset Cruise?

3. Where Can I Park?
There are limited metered parking spots on the pier (please note meters are on 24/7). Downtown Portland hosts many parking facilities (click here for a map) as well as metered parking. Meters are free after 6 p.m. and on Sundays. We recommend arriving early to give yourself ample time to find parking.
4. What is the weather cancellation/rebooking policy?

All of our tours are held rain or shine. The waters in Casco Bay are almost always calm. However, in the event Rocky Bottom Fisheries cancels any tour for any reason, all customers will receive a full refund. All tours can be rebooked to another date/time depending on availability. We hold a 7-day cancellation policy for refunds otherwise. We suggest calling us at 207-274-1844 within that 7-day window so we can work with you on a cancellation, rebooking, or future credits.

5. Is There a Bathroom On Board?
Yes, our vessels are equipped with marine heads (toilet facilities). We recommend using restrooms ahead of time if possible.
6. Is Seasickness Typically a Problem?
Generally no, however, if you have issues with seasickness we recommend taking Dramamine beforehand or wearing a motion sickness wristband, just in case.
7. Should I Tip the Crew?
While tipping isn’t required, our dedicated crew puts in long hours on the water to make sure your boat tour in Portland, Maine is exceptional. A tip rewards them for their hard work and service and is always greatly appreciated.
8. Can I Keep or Buy Lobsters Caught During The Tour?
We cannot keep or sell any lobsters that are caught on any tours. However, please reach out to us via phone at 207-274-1844 to inquire about purchasing lobsters from our commercial vessel Ivy Jean.
